Funding and Support

Our funding and support comes from the following sources:

  • UBC's Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund (https://tlef.ubc.ca/): $70,000 provided in 2007 for purchase of GPR equipment (applicant team: Leona Sparrow, Sue Rowley, Andrew Martindale, Steve Daniel)
  • Musqueam Indian Band: in-kind support during the UBC/Musqueam Archaeological Field School Project provided from 2006-present
  • UBC Dean of Arts: $2,500 for repair to GPR equipment in 2014
  • UBC Dean of Arts: $34,000 for teaching release and graduate research assistants in 2021
  • UBC Laboratory of Archaeology (LOA): in-kind support and equipment loans from 2006-present
  • UBC Vice President, Research + Innovation, Research Facility Support Grant (RFSG): $49,994 for a new GPR unit and upgrades to equipment in 2021
  • 150 Time Immemorial Grant Program: $48,500 to support the delivery and development of the GPR course in 2022

 

Community-Oriented Archaeology: Partnerships in the Exploration of History & Environments
